The Huston-Tillotson Rams competed at the Matador Qualifier on February 18th, 2023, at Texas Tech University.
The Rams had top finishes throughout the Matador Qualifier::
- Men's 200-meter dash Stacey Boyd II (JR) finished 8th overall with a time 21.81 qualifying him for NAIA Nationals, Micheal Colon Jr. (FR) finished 10th overall with a time of 22.01.
- Men's 800-meter dash Zephaniah Cuico-McLennan (FR) finished 5th overall with a time of 1:52.95 qualifying him for NAIA Nationals!
- Men's 4x400-meter relay Zephaniah Cuico-McLennan (FR), Micheal Colon Jr. (FR), John Shead (JR), and Quinton Selders (JR) finished 7th overall with a time of 3:24.66.

As Zephaniah Cuico-McLennan, and Stacey Boyd II head to NAIA Nationals the rest of the team will be preparing for their first outdoor meet March 11th, 2023, at Jet Relays.
