Four HT athletes to compete at NAIA Indoor Track and Field Championships

 
Three competitors from HT's men's track and field team qualified as individual competitors at the 59th Annual Men's NAIA Track and Field Championships. They will be joined by HT's Ayanna Johnson, who will represent HT at the 44th Annual Women's Track and Field Championships.
 
Freshmen sprinters Caleb Anthony (Richmond, Texas / Foster) will compete in the 400-meter dash, while teammate Adonis Chatman (Houston, Texas / Bridgeland) qualified to compete in the 600-meter run.
 
Junior hurdler Kamar Johnson will represent the Rams in the 60-meter hurdles event.
 
Ayanna Johnson, a freshman from Richmond, Texas (Lamar Consolidated) will represent HT's women's team in the 200-meter dash.
 
The NAIA Indoor Track and Field Championships begin Thursday, Feb. 29, and run through Saturday, March 2. The preliminaries for the men's events contested by HT's trio of athletes will begin Friday, March 1, at 12:50 p.m. with the 60-meter hurdles, contested by Kamar Johnson. Anthony's 400-meter run preliminaries will follow at 1:25 p.m., followed by Chatman running in the 600-meter preliminaries at 2:05 p.m.
 
The preliminaries for Ayanna Johnson's 200-meter dash will begin at 4:40 p.m. on Friday.
