AUSTIN – Huston-Tillotson University's volleyball team celebrated its seniors Saturday as they concluded the 2023 season with a conference match against Paul Quinn College.

Prior to the match, the Rams and first-year head coach LaTonya Washington honored seniors
Jaalin Rosser and
Sydnee Carrier, who played their last matches in an HT uniform.

Rosser knocked down eight kills in the match, which was won by Paul Quinn in three sets (25-23, 25-15, 25-20). She was also active on HT's defense, tallying 11 digs.

Adeja Peterson led the HT attack with 11 kills.
Elaina Spriggins recorded a double-double with 27 assists and a team-high 13 digs. Kennedi White chalked up seven kills, while
Danelle McCullough added 11 digs for the Rams.

Over the past two seasons, Carrier compiled 64 kills and 33 total blocks for Huston-Tillotson. She put away 52 kills and was part of 26 blocks during the 2023 season.

During her two years with HT's volleyball team, Rosser knocked down 136 kills, including 86 this season. She averaged more than a kill per set during her HT career, and also served 48 aces – 31 during the 2023 season.
