HALL of FAME NOMINATION FORM

The Huston-Tillotson University Athletic Hall of Fame recognizes former student-athletes, coaches, teams, and contributors whose achievements have brought honor and distinction to the University.

This prestigious recognition celebrates excellence in competition, leadership in coaching, and outstanding contributions to the athletic legacy of HT.

Our inductees embody the values of discipline, integrity, commitment, and service – principles that define what it means to be a Ram.

 

INDIVIDUAL ATHLETE CRITERIA
To be eligible for nomination, an individual must:
• Be a former Student-Athlete (Competed for Huston-Tillotson University in an intercollegiate sport)
• Demonstrate an Outstanding Collegiate Career (Exhibited exceptional athletic performance, sportsmanship, and leadership)
• Achieve Success Beyond HT (Displayed notable athletic, professional, or community achievements after leaving HT)
• Meet the Time Requirement (A minimum of five (5) years must have passed since last attending HT)

 

COACH / ADMINISTRATOR CRITERIA
Eligible nominees may include:
• Former or current coaches who have demonstrated excellence in coaching, competitive success, and leadership
• Athletic administrators who made significant contributions to the growth, development, and success of HT Athletics
• Candidates must have completed five (5) years of service

 

TEAM CATEGORY CRITERIA
Historic teams may be nominated for induction if they:
• Achieved exceptional success (conference championships, national recognition, historic milestones)
• Represented HT with distinction, sportsmanship, and excellence
• Are at least five (5) years removed from the season of achievement

 

CONTRIBUTOR / SPECIAL RECOGNITION CATEGORY
Nominees may include:
• Alumni, donors, or community partners who provided extraordinary service or contributions
• Individuals whose leadership or support significantly enhanced the student-athlete experience

 

NOMINATION PROCESS
Nominations may be submitted by:
• Alumni
• Current or former HT coaches/staff
• University leadership
• Community members

 

NOMINATION PACKETS MUST INCLUDE
✓ Completed nomination form
✓ Summary of achievements
✓ Supporting documentation (stats, awards, letters, media, etc.)
✓ Contact information of nominator

 

SELECTION COMMITTEE
The Huston-Tillotson Hall of Fame Selection Committee reviews all nominations and selects inductees based on demonstrated excellence, integrity, and lasting impact on HT Athletics.

 

INDUCTION CEREMONY
Inductees will be honored at the Annual Hall of Fame Banquet, a celebration attended by alumni, coaches, families, donors, and the HT community. This signature event highlights the proud history of HT Athletics and inspires future generations of Rams.

 

THE LEGACY CONTINUES
Our Hall of Fame honors the remarkable individuals and teams who built the foundation on which HT Athletics stands today. Their stories inspire current student-athletes to strive for academic excellence, competitive success, and lifelong leadership.
