Two HT players among All-RRAC honorees

Evans and Morales-Martinez lead the way for the Rams

AUSTIN – Two Huston-Tillotson University women's soccer players were honored by the Red River Athletic Conference for their on-field achievements during the 2024 season, the league office announced as part of its postseason awards.
 
First-year goalkeeper Juliet Morales-Martinez was named to the All-RRAC Freshman team, while senior transfer Kayla Evans earned All-RRAC Honorable Mention for her play as a striker.
 
Evans, from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and who transferred from NCAA Division I program Mississippi Valley State, scored four goals during the season. Her four goals tied for the team lead with America Macias.
 
Morales-Martinez (Burnet, Texas / Burnet) started 14 of the team's 15 matches this season and made 75 saves in goal for the Rams. She and teammate Zoey Gonzales combined on three shutouts during the year.
 
Naidelin Sanchez was also honored as the HT representative on the conference's Champions of Character team.
