HOUSTON – Huston-Tillotson University's volleyball team traveled to Houston for a non-conference match against NCAA Division I opponent Texas Southern on Wednesday.

At TSU's Health & Physical Education Arena, the host Tigers won the match in three sets. Scores of the match were 25-14, 25-9, and 25-14.

Chloe Gaytan was HT's star of the match, as she knocked down seven kills and recorded a .208 hitting percentage. She also tallied an assist, a service ace, and five digs for the Rams.

Olivia De La Cruz,
Angelina Munoz,
Ka'Mari Pointer, and
Kadyn Smith each tallied two kills for the Rams.
Cameron Boyd (seven digs) and
Danelle McCullough (six digs) led HT's defensive effort.

TSU's Lauren Battle knocked down a match-high nine kills to lead the Tigers.

The Rams return to action Friday, Sept. 20, when they travel to Dallas for a pair of weekend matches at Paul Quinn College. Friday's match is scheduled for a 7 p.m. start, while Saturday's contest will begin at noon.
