HAWKINS, Texas – Huston-Tillotson University's men's soccer team saw their three-match undefeated streak snapped as they fell 3-1 at Jarvis Christian to open Red River Athletic Conference play Thursday.
Luis Uriostegui scored the Rams' lone goal in the 38th minute, levelling the score at 1-1. JCU's Daniel Sierra had opened the scoring in the 23rd minute.
The teams remained tied at the start of the second half, but Jarvis put the match away with goals in the 49th and 63rd minutes of the contest.

Juan Acosta had a busy day in goal, making nine saves. The Bulldogs outshot Huston-Tillotson 21-6 and held a 12-4 advantage in shots on goal.
HT was scheduled to continue their trip in northeast Texas on Saturday, but the Rams' match at Texas College was postponed. The Rams return to action Thursday, Sept. 26, when they host Texas A&M–Texarkana at the Onion Creek soccer fields. The men's match is scheduled for a 3 p.m. kickoff.
