SAN ANTONIO – A strong, fourth-quarter defensive effort by Our Lady of the Lake lifted the Saints women's basketball team to a narrow 57-54 win Saturday over visiting Huston-Tillotson.
The Saints held HT to two points and no field goals in the final six minutes of the game as they outscored the Rams 9-2 during that span. The win gave OLLU a season sweep of the series.

Tyaija Coleman scored a team-high 14 points for the Rams (9-12, 8-10 RRAC), while redshirt freshman
Aliyah Carter turned in her second consecutive double-double performance with 12 points and 10 rebounds.
Jade Hilliary came off the HT bench and scored 11 points, a career high for the freshman from San Antonio playing back in her hometown.
Carlea Owens scored a game-high 19 points for the Saints (8-14), who improved to 6-13 in Red River Athletic Conference play.
The Rams shot 58 percent (11 of 19) from the free throw line. Meanwhile, the Saints helped their cause by making 18 out of their 21 (85.7 percent) free throw tries.
HT returns to action Thursday, Feb. 6, when the Rams host LSU–Shreveport, the RRAC's first-place team. Tipoff is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. at HT's Branch Gymnasium.
