Todd Cruff joined the Huston-Tillotson University staff in September of 2015 as the Sports Information Director. 

A 2014 graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington, Cruff earned his Bachelors of Arts in Broadcast Journalism. While attending UTA, Cruff ran a sports talk show on the university’s student ran radio station, UTA Radio, entitled Cruff’nStein with co-host and friend Tre Stein. Cruff also worked as an assistant manager at Lids while attending school and this continued for almost one full year after his graduation from UTA before landing at Huston-Tillotson University.

This is the first foray into the world of sports information for Cruff, as he was hired by longtime HT faculty member and former Athletic Director, Charles H. Dubra.  While at HT, Cruff was instrumental in the implementation and design of a brand-new website specifically designed for Rams athletics. He has assisted with the baseball program, as well as serving on the homecoming committee to running the intramural program. Cruff has been a jack of all trades for the fRAMily and been a reliable staple in the athletic department since his arrival. 

Cruff is the youngest of retired Army Chief Warrant Officer William and Vicki Cruff of Pulaski, Virginia. He has one brother, Scott, an AP History teacher at South San Antonio High School and one sister, Bobbie, whom is the head softball coach and a special ed teacher at Mansfield Lake Ridge High School. Cruff graduated high school in 2008 from Ellison High School in his hometown of Killeen, Texas, the same high school his brother and sister graduated from. A huge sports fan, he reps the Houston Astros, San Antonio Spurs, Washington Football Team & Virginia Tech Hokies along with his alma mater UT-Arlington Mavericks religiously. He also likes to try and to remain active physically and mentally, as he rides bikes, skateboards and works out regularly as well as reading books.
