Entering his 10th year at the helm. Coach Thomas C. Henderson, known as “Coach Hendo” has created a standard of commitment for the men’s basketball program. Henderson has taken the men’s basketball program to three consecutive Red River Conference tournament appearances (2019,2020,2022) and experience their first winning season in nine years in 2019.

During his tenure he has produced twenty-two all-conference players, and five All-American. Previously Henderson was the Assistant Coach at St. Thomas University in Houston, TX. In the Celts’ fourth season of intercollegiate competition, the men’s basketball team collected a program-best 27 wins and a bid to the national tournament.

He has also coached four High schools including: Ellison HS (Killeen, TX.),Manor (Manor, TX.), Wheatley HS (Houston, TX.) and Reagan HS (Houston, TX). Henderson has been awarded Coach of the Year twice in 2007 and 2012.

Coach Henderson has a Bachelor's of Science in Exercise Sports in Science and Master’s degree Education Administration.
