Box Score SUGAR LAND – Huston-Tillotson University's women's soccer team picked up a much-needed Red River Athletic Conference victory Thursday as the Rams claimed a 1-0 win at North American.
Alexandria Aragon netted her second goal of the season in the match's 10th minute Thursday to give the Rams (3-10, 3-7 RRAC) the margin they needed to secure the triumph.
Cheyanna Burnett-Griffith supplied the assist on Aragon's match-winner.
Phoenix Michaelis made six saves in nearly 72 minutes of action in goal for the Rams.
Zoey Gonzales finished the match and made one save.
The win was the second consecutive victory for the Rams, who are within three points of the conference's top eight as they seek a berth into the postseason RRAC tournament. The Rams won consecutive matches for the first time since winning three consecutive contests in October 2022.
HT also remained undefeated against North American, the newest addition to the RRAC.
The Rams return to action Sunday when they visit the New Orleans metropolitan area to face Xavier (La.) (8-4, 8-2 RRAC). Kickoff is scheduled for 9 a.m. at Lafreniere Park in Metairie, La.
