HT teams in action this weekend

AUSTIN – Huston-Tillotson University's athletics program has an action-packed weekend ahead as all five fall sports teams are in action.
 
The Rams men's and women's soccer teams highlight the action as they open their home schedules Thursday with a doubleheader against Jarvis Christian at the Round Rock Multipurpose Complex. Kickoff times are 1 p.m. (women) and 3 p.m. (men).
 
HT's matches against Jarvis Christian are also their Red River Athletic Conference openers. The Rams soccer teams resume play Saturday with another conference doubleheader against Texas College. Those games are scheduled for 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. at the Onion Creek Soccer Complex.
 
The HT volleyball team will head north for three matches in two days, starting at East Central University in Ada, Okla., on Friday. The Rams will face the University of Science and Arts (Okla.) at 4 p.m., then face host ECU at 6 p.m. Saturday, the Rams visit Austin College in Sherman, Texas, for a 2 p.m. match.
 
Huston-Tillotson University's cross country teams return to action Saturday morning when they head to Georgetown to run in the Southwestern University Showdown. Race time is scheduled for 8 a.m.
