The Rams have won their last five matches against NAIA opponents and won five of their last six overall. In sweeping last week's matches, freshmen Lindsey Morris and Jordis Taylor, along with senior Taylor Fisher, swept the conference's weekly individual awards. Morris leads the team in kills per set, while Taylor is the team leader in assists per set while also acting as a hitter when she is on the front row. Fisher, a Del Valle native and transfer from NCAA Division II Henderson State, anchors the HT defense and leads the Rams in digs per set.

Philander Smith junior Ja'Niya Sanders leads the Panthers with 2.36 kills per set, while her senior teammate Zarea Winn averages 2.22 kills per set.

Saturday, the Rams will host in-state rival Wiley at 2 p.m. at Branch Gymnasium. That match will also be available for online streaming on the Urban Edge Network.
