Robinson named vice president of HBCUAC's Council of Athletic Directors

AUSTIN – Huston-Tillotson University's Director of Athletics Vincent D. Robinson has been selected to serve as Vice President of the Council of Athletic Directors for the HBCU Athletic Conference (HBCUAC), further solidifying his growing leadership presence within HBCU athletics.

The Council of Athletic Directors (CAD) serves as a governing body within the conference, providing leadership, strategic guidance, and oversight on matters related to competition, compliance, championship administration, and the overall advancement of member institutions. 

As Vice President, Robinson will work closely with fellow athletic directors and conference leadership to strengthen collaboration, elevate operational standards, and enhance the student-athlete experience across the conference.

"This role allows me to serve alongside an exceptional group of leaders who are deeply committed to advancing HBCU athletics while keeping student-athletes at the center of every decision. Robinson's appointment reflects his reputation as a forward-thinking administrator with a strong emphasis on academic accountability, compliance, student-athlete welfare, and institutional alignment. Since joining Huston-Tillotson University, he has focused on strengthening departmental operations, enhancing competitive success, and aligning athletics with the University's broader mission of excellence, integrity, and service.

In his new leadership role, Robinson will assist in conference-wide planning efforts, support championship operations, and help guide policy discussions impacting HBCU athletics at both the regional and national levels. His involvement will also help elevate Huston-Tillotson University's voice and visibility within the conference.
