AUSTIN – Huston-Tillotson University's athletic department released its Director of Athletics 3.0 Club honorees Tuesday, which honors all HT student-athletes who achieved a 3.0 grade-point average (GPA) in their collegiate coursework during the semester.

The second class – and first class for a spring semester – of the Director of Athletics 3.0 Club includes 75 HT student-athletes who reached that GPA in the Spring 2026 semester. Furthermore, 10 of the 75 athletes honored recorded a 4.0 semester GPA.

Student-athletes who have earned membership into the AD's 3.0 Club exemplify hard work, discipline, and determination, while balancing the demands of competition with academic excellence. Their commitment to excellence in the classroom reflects HT Athletics' emphasis on holistic development and maintaining a culture of accountability.

"Academic excellence is the foundation of everything we do in Huston-Tillotson Athletics," said Vincent D. Robinson, Director of Athletics. "Earning a 3.0 GPA while competing at a high level speaks to the character, discipline, and commitment of our student-athletes. We are extremely proud of their dedication to success in the classroom and will continue to hold academics as our top priority."

Huston-Tillotson's baseball and men's soccer team had the most players honored this semester, with each team placing 13 student-athletes of their athletes in the spring edition of the AD's 3.0 club. Under the direction of head coach Chase Almendarez, its athletes tallied their 3.0 GPA while leading the Rams to their first NAIA Baseball Tournament berth since the 1998 season. Men's soccer coach Aaron Yancy also had 13 student-athletes maintain that GPA.

The women's basketball team had seven student-athletes named to the AD's 3.0 Club, including six players who were among the eight on the active playing roster toward the end of the season. Head coach Kendall DuCree's team also had the most honorees with a 4.0 GPA for the semester, as well as the only graduate student so honored.

Huston-Tillotson Athletics remains committed to developing champions in competition, in the classroom, and in life.
