SAN ANTONIO – Huston-Tillotson University's women's soccer team remain in search of their first win of 2026 after falling 4-0 at Our Lady of the Lake.
The Saints (2-1), who defeated No. 20 Science and Arts (Okla.) on the road in their previous match, scored four goals in the first 22 minutes to build a comfortable advantage.
In the 18th women's soccer matchup between the two schools, OLLU outshot their guests 22-4. Freshmen
Kennytzia De La Torre-Arias (Del Valle, TX) and
Emili Taclibon (Copperas Cove, TX) came the closest to putting the Rams on the scoreboard, as each fired a shot on goal.
Senior defender
Alicia Gonzales was also credited with a shot on goal late in the second half.
HT senior goalkeeper
Zoey Gonzales (Austin, TX) had a busy morning in goal, as she made six saves on the 10 OLLU shots on target. Junior goalkeeper
Juliet Morales-Martinez (Burnet, TX) stopped both shots on goal she faced in the second half.
The Rams were in search of their first victory over Our Lady of the Lake since the 2019 season.
HT returns to action Tuesday, Sept. 1, when they make the relatively short drive to Georgetown to visit the Pirates of Southwestern University. Kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m.
