FORT WORTH, Texas – In a matchup of two NAIA women's soccer programs both nicknamed the Rams – and both either partially or fully affiliated with the United Methodist Church – it was Huston-Tillotson's squad taking the role of shepherds in a 4-0 shutout win Tuesday at Texas Wesleyan.
 
HT freshman Emili Taclibon (Copperas Cove, Texas / Copperas Cove) had a foot on both of HT's first-half goals – assisting on Neydelyn Bonilla's (Austin, Texas / KIPP) match-winner in the 14th minute, then scoring her first collegiate goal less than six minutes later.
 
Kennytzia De La Torre-Arias, a freshman from Del Valle, Texas (Del Valle) scored her first collegiate goal less than eight minutes after the halftime restart. De La Torre-Arias has been a consistent offensive threat through five matches, and was the District 26-6A Utility Player of the Year as a high school senior in spring 2026.
 
HT junior Caroline Valencia (Bertram, Texas / Oklahoma Wesleyan) capped the scoring for the Rams (2-2-1) in the 78th minute off an assist from her roommate Mariyah McCrae (Anchorage, Alaska / Jacksonville U.).
 
It was an unforgettable triumph for HT's Unforgettable Ewes, who outshot Texas Wesleyan 15-4 in the match. The win was HT's second in nine all-time matchups with Texas Wesleyan, and its first since a 2-0 road victory in 2014.
 
Valencia's Burnet High School teammate Juliet Morales-Martinez (Bertram, Texas / Burnet) made three saves in goal to earn the shutout victory. It was Morales-Martinez' second solo shutout of her career as well as her seventh collegiate victory, moving her into sixth place on HT's all-time victories list.
 
HT will play its first official home match of the season Sunday, Sept. 13, when the Rams host in-state, non-conference rival Texas College at the Round Rock Multipurpose Complex. The match is the first of a women's-and-men's doubleheader between the two schools, with the women kicking off at 11 a.m.
