Austin, Tx- The Huston-Tillotson University Baseball Program for the 2022-2023 Season will return (24) players from last season's squad and have added (13) newcomers for the upcoming season. Key returners from the 2021-2022 season include, INF Taylor Grimes, INF Derrick Johnson, INF Brian Gardner, INF Luke Vizcarra, OF Myles Wiltz, OF Adam Sheehan, C Damien Ovalle, C Andrew Guzman, RHP Seve Medrano, RHP Brycen Lee.
Key newcomers include, a pair of seasoned transfers, C Robbie Brue and RHP Steel Kupec. Other key newcomers include true freshman, INF Josh Wilk, INF Noah Alvarez, RHP Jeremiah Molina, and LHP Bryce Sanchez.

Chase Almendarez is entering his second season leading the Rams and shares, "I'm excited about this group, we had a great Fall season and were able to dial in many different aspects on and off the field. Team morale, Team GPA, and Team chemistry have all increased from the previous season."
The Rams will open up their schedule with a series against Texas Wesleyan University January 28
th – 29
th. The home opener is slated for Saturday, February 4
th at 1pm against Bethany College.
The Rams are looking to secure a spot in this year's RRAC Baseball Tournament. The Rams have not clinched a spot in the postseason since 2009. Coach Almendarez shares "This is what we're after, this is what we've been working for, and this team has the capability to do so."
