AUSTIN – Seven Huston-Tillotson University student-athletes will compete at the 2025 U.S. Marines NAIA Indoor Track and Field Championship meet, as announced by the NAIA and HT announced this week.

Six HT women and one HT man will compete at the NAIA's 45th Indoor Track and Field championship meet, scheduled for Feb. 27 through March 1 at the Alachua County Sports & Events Center at Celebration Pointe, in Gainesville, Fla.

Emmanuel Idris will represent the Rams at the men's event, as he qualified for the 60-meter dash event. He qualified with his best time of 6.82 seconds in the event during the indoor regular season.

The women comprise the four members and two alternates of the 4-by-400-meter relay team. Head HT track and field coach Christopher Grant reports the team plans to run Chaleica Booker, Jariah Jackson-Simon, Ayanna Johnson, and
Jaymee Yelton in the preliminaries.
Dejah Okonji and Jazmyne White will also travel as alternates.

HT's relay team qualified for nationals after turning in a time of 3 minutes, 57.34 seconds at their final regular season meet of the season in Houston earlier this month.

A senior at HT, Yelton will also compete in the women's 800-meter run at the national meet. Her time of 2:18.34 qualified her to compete in Gainesville.
